THE HISTORY

One night, Most likely around 3 in the morning, a young (9 years old) Zachary Smoot, was chating with his friend Jamie Bell on Skype, This was around the time when a popular game called 'Five Nights At Freddy's', Commonly refereed to as 'FNAF' Was taking the world by storm. People were creating fan games for FNAF and that is what Zach and Jamie wanted to do, and they saw that there were game developing groups that were for creating FNAF Fan Games, so they wanted to create a game dev group for that, So they did, and they agreed on the name 'Devotic Games' and their first project would be called 'Fazbear Legend' And needless to say, IT SUCKED, The story line was empty, the mechanics were stupid, the way it was designed was jittery and it lagged A LOT, there was one game play video of it in the whole world, and the person who played it absolutely hated it; "I Had high hopes, too, :\". So the game failed to say the least, and the developers weren't enjoying it either, So they decided that maybe video game developing wasn't really their thing, They wanted to make movies, and that was when the storm was formed. At the time of this, Zach's online persona contained of a vine account with the name of 'Man-out' and Jamie also was on vine by the name 'Treebender117' The names are set to change, Not so much Jamie's, but VERY much Zach's, They wanted to make a movie where they would play some of their vine characters and add a story to it, it would be called 'Man-out The Movie', Their idea was that it would be a total hit and be played in movie theaters and at home on millions of TV screens. This wasn't going to happen, and they never even finished the movie, at this point, the company had been renamed to 'Devotic Pictures', but they were no longer motivated to really do anything with it anymore, however, they didn't shut down the company, Devotic Pictures was put down and never picked up for months and almost years, Up until the point when Zach wanted to re brand, So they wiped every trace of Devotic of of the face of the planet, and a new company 'Lucid Developers' was to be on the rise, The idea was picked up by a young lady named Laurel Frey, who owned a company called 'Claws and Family Studios', although Laurel mainly did animations and art, she was managing the business side of things for Lucid Developers, they really had a great thing going. The trio went on to create projects such as 'ASINO', 'JJ'S REVENGE' 'Absent', 'Sponge-bobs Mix-tape' And others, some of these were Video Games, Some were films. Their first project to be released was a video game called "ASINO" it was a horror game with a very decent story line and ideas, but it was developed only by Zach, and he didn't let anyone else really even touch it, so obviously, it flopped, Jamie and Laurel bought up the idea of restarting the Project completely, but of course, Zach refused and they started the development of 'Asino 2' Sure, the other two were okay with this but they also were not, this caused the company to fall apart and flop, Zach was taking over everything and wrote a bad movie for them to make in witch Laurel would call 'Cancer' (basically calling it really bad) and said that it needed work. Zach reacted on an impulse and fired Laurel without consulting Jamie before hand. Jamie was angry and didn't like how Zach had 100% control of the company so Zach gave Jamie 49%, Well, he tried, Jamie wasn't pleased with the fact that Zach was superior because they founded the company together, So Zach split the company half and half, giving 50% To the both of them. Zach went on to hire a friend from school who was also a content creator on YouTube with 500+ Subscribers his name was 'Jace', This failed and he was quickly fired because he really did no work, But Zach still wanted to do projects with him, So Jace started his own company called 'Star Cinema' And Zach immediately picked up on the idea of that, and put Lucid on hold, keep in mind, Lucid had been renamed to 'Lucid Studios' at this point. Star Cinema went on to produce films such as 'Oxture Street' (Remember that name, as it later is important), Transformers: The Kid With The Imagination, ETC. But Jace wasn't happy with the workflow of Oxture Street and cancelled T.K.W.T.I Because it was going to be copyrighted for sure, So Zach left the company and picked the pace back up for Lucid, But it was sort of silent for a long time, they didn't really know where they stood, And found out that the name 'Lucid Studios' was taken in Texas, therefore they couldn't legally use that name, So they were stumped, until Jace provided them with the idea of naming the company 'Lucid Arts Entertainment', They said yes and that is why Lucid is named that today. Jace shut down his idea of owning his own company, and gave Lucid Arts Entertainment the rights to his film idea 'Oxture Street' and to this day, That film has been turned into a show, and is getting produced as we speak. That is mostly all that lies in between the past and now, There is some other things that happened but they are on more personal levels between the three, so That, for now, Is The History, Of Lucid Arts Entertainment.
